01 THE CHALLENGE

Roofing has a reputation problem, and Foremost Exteriors was founded in 2020 to be the exception to it. Locally owned in Savage, Minnesota. A 4.9-star Google rating. BBB A+. Forbes Home’s list of the best roofing contractors in Minneapolis. Owens Corning Preferred, Malarkey Emerald Pro, James Hardie Affiliate. Nextdoor Neighborhood Fave two years running. The company earned all of that by doing the opposite of what homeowners expect from a roofer: honest evaluations, everything documented, plain answers, no pressure.

The website didn’t say any of that with the same conviction. After a hail storm, a Twin Cities homeowner is searching from a place of suspicion. Every contractor in the metro claims to be honest, and the storm chasers claim it loudest. Foremost had the process and the proof to stand apart, but a visitor couldn’t tell in the first ten seconds, and the range of what Foremost actually does, from impact-resistant shingles to DaVinci slate to James Hardie siding to commercial flat roofs, was buried under a generic services list.

02 THE APPROACH

The Creative Depot rebuilt foremostexteriors.com around the one thing that separates Foremost from the truck that shows up the morning after the storm: documentation. The site shows how Foremost works before it asks for the call.

1. Leading With the Reason People Call

Homeowners call a roofer for one of a handful of reasons, so the homepage names them: storm damage, an aging or leaking roof, a full exterior refresh, a pre-purchase inspection. Each one routes to the right page in one click, and each page ends at the same offer: a free, no-pressure inspection with a documented answer either way. The four-step process, from scheduling through on-site documentation, scope, and final walkthrough, is on the homepage so a visitor knows what happens after they submit the form.

2. Hail Damage as Its Own Playbook

Storm season is where Foremost wins or loses the year, so hail got a dedicated section instead of a paragraph. The hail inspection page explains what damage actually looks like on shingles, soft metals, siding, and window trim, walks through chalked test squares and impact counts, and includes a ten-minute homeowner checklist for the hours after a storm. It also says the quiet part: an inspection does not mean you have to file a claim, and Foremost will tell you when the answer is no. That is the page a suspicious homeowner needs to read, and it’s the one the storm chasers will never write.

3. Every Product Line Gets Its Own Page

Foremost installs far more than asphalt shingles, and the old site flattened that into a list. The new structure gives each line its own page: shingle, impact-resistant, metal, cedar shake, designer and luxury roofing, commercial and flat, HOA and multi-family, storm damage, and roof maintenance under roofing; vinyl, steel, LP SmartSide, and James Hardie under siding; gutters and gutter replacement; window replacement. A homeowner comparing Brava tile to standing-seam metal lands on a page about exactly that, and search engines see a contractor with real depth instead of a brochure.

4. Built to Be Found and Cited

The site is engineered for how people search after a storm: a service and a city. Twenty Twin Cities suburbs from Savage to Bloomington are covered under a service area structure that reinforces the same crew, same warranty, same standards in every one of them. An FAQ hub, a roofing glossary, and an insights section give Google and AI search engines direct answers to the questions homeowners actually ask, from hail damage versus normal wear to how a contractor documents a scope. A project gallery shows the work. Manufacturer certifications, awards, and the written five-year workmanship warranty sit where a visitor will see them before deciding whether to trust the form.

03 THE OUTCOME

Foremost now has a site that behaves the way the company does. A homeowner who lands after a storm sees the process, the proof, and a documented inspection offer before they see a sales pitch. Every product line has a page that can rank on its own. Every city in the service area has a reason to call the local team instead of the out-of-state truck. And every page ends the same way Foremost’s process starts: a free inspection, one click or one call away.

Just as important, the structure scales with storm season. New product lines, new cities, new FAQ answers, and new gallery projects slot into the existing architecture without a redesign, so each season leaves the site stronger than the last instead of going stale.
